Sculpture

Sculpture is the use of volume to describe an idea, a material, a being. The way light falls over the forms tells the viewer what it is and what it is made of. To turn plastic into metal, stone or food is visual alchemy, a mixing of elements designed to completely trick the eye.

The form for these pieces is sculpted in clay and molded in silicone and plaster. The various versions are pulled in different plastic composites, and painted with a combination of acrylic paint, pigments, waxes, and fixatives.
